Construction of Toilets under Swach Bharat Mission

(ONGC CSR)

Under the aegis of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) CSR fund, SAK Foundation has contributed towards the Swachh Bharat Mission Scheme by constructing household toilets in Surguja District of Chhattisgarh.

"Nai Roshni" a Leadership Development Programme for Minority Women

(Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India)

SAK Foundation implemented the Nai Roshni Scheme of Ministry of Minority affairs, Government of India which enivisions to empower and instill confidence among minority women, including, by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with Government systems, banks and other institutions at all levels. SAK Foundation organised multiple leadership development programs under this program in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh.

Health and Awareness Camps

SAK Foundation has repeatedly organized health camps for the tribal population who are often devoid of healthcare services by the virtue of remote locations.

HIV Aids : Awareness Camps

A study conducted by Department of AIDS Control, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in 2013 highlighted the need to strengthen outreach programmes through awareness campaigns around industries, truck halt points and highways in Surguja District. SAK Foundation with support of subject matter experts undertook several awareness sessions on HIV Aids.

Pre-natal and post-natal care : Medical Camps

In order to spread awareness on Pre-natal and Post-natal care, SAK Foundation organized multiple health camps in the Surguja, specifically for the women coming from rural spaces.

Drug De-addiction Center

In order to curb the rising cases of drug addiction and substance abuse amongst the tribal youth, the SAK Foundation established two drug de-addiction & rehabilitation centres in Surguja District of Chhattisgarh.
