Tribal health and PC & PNDT awareness camps

Surguja District of Chhattisgarh has a predominantly tribal population that reside in remote forests which often lack access to basic healthcare services. SAK Foundation has repeatedly organized health camps for the tribal population who are often devoid of healthcare services by the virtue of remote locations. The organization also hosted several awareness camps on the theme of Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act to reduce female foeticides and adddress the declining sex ratio in India.

To date, SAK Foundation has organized 48 health camps in Surguja District. These camps provided free of cost diagnosis and in some cases medicines too.
