HIV Aids awareness program

A study conducted by Department of AIDS Control, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in 2013 highlighted the need to strengthen outreach programmes through awareness campaigns around industries, truck halt points and highways in Surguja District. SAK Foundation with support of subject matter experts undertook several awareness sessions on HIV Aids and other STDs.

The sessions focused on the causes, effects and prevention mechanism of STDs. It also highlighted the available government support to address STDs.
