AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Donor: Self funded
Status: Ongoing
We work in partnership with local farmers and help them enhance their farming practices based on natural factors and new technologies. So far, we have engaged with farmers from 96 villages in the Surguja district in helping them adopt organic farming and diversification in agriculture through workshops, training, plantation drives and seed distributions.
In the Surguja district, the foundation helped the farmers in bamboo plantations and their processing through workshops and regular observations.
Information dissemination on harvesting seasonal crops, usage of new technologies and approaching the proper market is carried by the foundation.
Within its nursery raising program, the foundation has been successful in growing 1300+ plants and distributing 9,885 plants of diverse species to the farmers.
